Each 60-minute session is thoughtfully designed to maximise learning while keeping students engaged and motivated:

• 0–5 minutes: Check-in and review – A quick catch-up to revisit the previous session’s material, celebrate progress, and identify any lingering questions.

• 5–30 minutes: Tackle current challenges – Focus on difficult topics the student is facing in school, ensuring understanding of key concepts from recent lessons.

• 30–35 minutes: Refresh break (if needed) – A short mental pause to avoid fatigue and keep energy levels high.

• 35–55 minutes: Reinforce and extend – Work through problem areas or get ahead with upcoming material, applying active learning techniques like problem-solving or discussion.

• 55–60 minutes: Recap and next steps – Summarise what’s been covered and outline goals or homework to maintain momentum between sessions.

Alex works with high school students from Years 7 to 12, including VCE. She tutors across Melbourne suburbs including Rosanna, Bellfield, Briar Hill, Bundoora, Eaglemont, Eltham, Greensborough, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe and Viewbank. Sessions are available both online and in person to suit your family’s needs.
