Number Skills

Alex will guide your child through working with indices and the index laws, performing calculations with rational numbers and integers, and exploring terminating and recurring decimals. They'll also investigate irrational numbers including π, ensuring they can solve real-world problems with confidence.

Advanced Algebra

Your child will learn to expand and factorise algebraic expressions, apply the distributive law, simplify expressions involving the four operations, and use algorithms to identify and correct errors. We'll also explore linear relationships on the Cartesian plane and solve linear equations using both algebraic and graphical techniques.

Measurement and Geometry

We'll convert between units of measurement for area and volume, calculate perimeters and areas of various quadrilaterals (parallelograms, trapeziums, rhombuses, and kites), and investigate relationships between features of circles.
